SCOTT BROWN will embark upon a new career at Aberdeen next season and the former midfield dynamo has swapped Paradise for Pittodrie with the best wishes of the Celtic support.
SCOTT BROWN celebrated his 700th club appearance by helping Celtic to a 4-1 triumph over Hamilton Accies at the aptly-named Fountain of Youth stadium on February 2 2020.
And the onfield leader reckoned the win marked a massive turning point as the Hoops headed for their ninth successive title.
Goals from Odsonne Edouard (2), Christopher Jullien and James Forrest brought in the 21st Premiership victory of the campaign to move them seven points ahead of Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox outfit who drew 0-0 with Aberdeen in Glasgow on the same weekend.

Brown admitted the title kings hadn’t exactly sparkled in the first-half where they conceded the opening goal to Marios Ogkmpoe following a left-wing corner-kick. However, the picture altered when Accies had defender Jamie Hamilton red-carded in the 34th minute for a professional foul on Leigh Griffiths and Edouard whipped in the resultant free-kick.
The inspirational skipper was more concerned about the team’s performance than reaching a marvellous personal landmark and said: “It was all about us in the second-half. It was about having a lot more penetration and a lot more of the ball.
“I think at the end of the day it could have been a lot more. But it is three points and it is huge for us.
“For us, it is about taking each game as it comes. It is about keeping going which this team does. We are great at that.
“Plus we had genius coming off the bench in Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic, so it was all about the squad.”
Brown made the typical selfless comments after another professional personal performance and CQN‘s photographers were on the spot to capture the moment.
