BUILDING WELL UNDERWAY ON NEW QUALITY STREET

KRISTOFFER AJER has become Ronny Deila’s 23rd signing in his 21 months as Celtic manager.
The 17-year-old Norwegian midfielder agreed a four-year deal during the week with his club FK Start picking up something in the region of £650,000.
Deila has spent £14.6million in transfer fees in 13 deals, agreed seven loan moves, one free and two unattached.
However attention is turning to ten of these signings who are set to join with homegrown Celtic starlets like Kieran Tierney, Liam Henderson and others in the Development Squad to form Ronny’s very own Quality Street Gang.
Here are Ronny’s ten significant signings…
Kristoffer Ajer (£650,000 FK Start)

Patrick Roberts (loan Manchester City)

Erik Sviatchenko (£1.5m Midtjylland)

Jozo Simunovic (£3m Dinamo Zagreb)

Ryan Christie (£500,000 Inverness Caley Thistle)

Scott Allan (£275,000 Hibs)

Saidy Janko (£1m Manchester United)

Dedryck Boyata (£1.5m Manchester City)

Stuart Armstrong (£1.75m Dundee United)

Gary Mackay-Steven (£250,000 Dundee United)
Add to this the goals of Leigh Griffiths, the drive of Scott Brown, the composure of Kris Commons and the assurance of Craig Gordon and there is real optimism that a very decent Celtic side is just around the corner.
If he becomes available, the icing on the cake would be for the Celtic board to show real commitment and splash out to sign Jason Denayer.
Celtic’s new Quality Street Gang would be a joy to watch and would drive us on to the ten. What’s not to like?
