BYE BYE BAYO

IVORIAN striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo, with one goal in a year, looks to be on his way out at Celtic.

The powerful frontman has asked for a loan away from the Hoops in this transfer window, according to media reports.

Brendan Rodgers’ £2million signing hopes to secure a temporary switch after making a mere 13 appearances since arriving from Slovakian side Dunajska Streda.

The 23-year-old forward has been hampered by injury and loss of form during his 12 months in Scotland and is desperate to get some game time elsewhere.

The £3.5million capture of Polish striker Patryk Klimala has pushed Bayo further down the pecking order at the champions.

Dutch and Swiss clubs have already shown an interest, but Bayo hasn’t ruled out a loan switch to another Premiership side.

His solitary goal for Neil Lennon’s men came in the 5-0 win over Championship side Partick Thistle in the Betfred League Cup-tie at Parkhead in September.

Leigh Griffiths, meanwhile, has deleted his Twitter account after posting a cryptic tweet over his future at the club.

The 29-year-old Scotland international uploaded a GIF on social media showing him putting his fingers in his ears, an apparent message that he’s blocking out any noise over suggestions he may be put on out loan this month.

Griffiths, who has claimed three goals this season, bewildered fans by liking a tweet by BBC journalist Stefan Bienkowski suggesting his Hoops career was nearing an end.

The media post read: “Interesting signing. Which will surely mean Leigh Griffiths or Vakoun Bayo’s days at the club are probably numbered.”

And after sharing the GIF, Griffiths then shut down his Twitter page.
