CELTIC are poised to finally offload £3million misfit Boli Bolingoli.

Russian outfit FC Ufa are in talks with the Hoops left-back over an initial loan deal, as CQN reported at the weekend.

The Belgian defender has made two appearances for Ange Postecoglou, but has no future at Parkhead after breaking strict government Covid rules with an unauthorised short break in Spain in August 2020 before returning to Lennoxtown to train with the first-team squad.

He then made a cameo substitute appearance in the second Premiership game of the season when Neil Lennon’s team dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

DOWN AND OUT…Boli Bolingoli during his first season at Celtic.

Bolingoli was packed off to Turkey for the remainder of the campaign on a temporary transfer, but he failed to impress and he was returned in the summer.

Postecoglou brought him back for the 1-0 loss at Livingston in September and the £3million signing from Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2019 also played in the 2-0 win over Motherwell at Fir Park the following month.

The Russian deadline is tomorrow and Ufa are preparing to push through a late loan switch for the 26-year-old full-back, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.

Bolingoli has dropped down the pecking order for the No.3 position with Josip Juranovic, Greg Taylor and Liam Scales being utilised by Postecoglou.
