BLUNDER Bhoy Boli Bolingoli is edging closer to a Celtic exit.
Serie A outfit Roma are ready to make a move for the Belgian left-back who has no future at the Hoops after his inexplicable secret trip to high-risk Spain and his consequent ignoring of government isolation guidelines when he returned.
Neil Lennon axed his £3million purchase from Vienna Rapid last summer as soon as the left-back’s controversial journey had been revealed – following a cameo appearance in the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on August 9.
Bolingoli copped a three-match ban for his astounding actions and the champions saw two Premiership games against St Mirren and Aberdeen cancelled.
Now the Italian side, who have just sold No.3 Aleksandar Kolorov to Inter Milan, have registered an interest in the 25-year-old defender who still has three years to run on his contract, according to a report in the Daily Record.
The Hoops expect Roma to follow up with a firm offer while there has been speculation there is other interest in Bolingoli from Belgium. Germany and Turkey.
The champions will shift the player, who made 18 first-team appearances last season, either on a temporary or permanent basis – preferably the latter.
Lennon is actively searching for a replacement to give Scotland international Greg Taylor competition for the position.
