If results go their way, Scotland will tonight become the first team to qualify for the Euro 2024 in Germany next summer. Norway and Georgia are both on four points. A draw would see them move to five, 10 behind Scotland with three games remaining.
Either way, automatic qualification is inevitable, as, with Spain remaining on both their rosters, neither of the sides who meet in Oslo tonight are likely to reach 15 points. Post-Scott Brown, James Forrest, Ryan Christie, Kieran Tierney and Stuart Armstrong, our exposure to Scotland games it limited to Callum McGregor. It is some comfort he will be excused play-off games in the spring.
In the next five weeks, however, Callum is likely to face England, Feyenoord, Lazio, Spain and France, five exhausting matches, with four other Celtic games thrown into the mix. We need him fresh and at his best for Rotterdam and the visit of the Romans.
With so much of the squad wilting, the role of the captain cannot be overestimated. He should be rested whenever a safe goal margin permits.

Tonight SCOTLAND plaY england and the commonwealth. England’s team also contains 3 SOUP TAKERS who will bellow out LONG TO REIGN OVER US AT THE TOP OF THEIR VOICES,
Did the BLACK N TANS not visit their grannies village.?????

Yes, and Celtic tickets last year were £129.00 for three match package £138.00 this year and always discounted for thousands of consessionary tickets e.g. over 65 £108 this year.
Swings and roundabouts I say, without knowing the fine detail but always another handy stick with which to beat the club.
Just like ‘pure kwality CL level’ players there’s always somebody wanting more.

BSR,
I am not a complainer by nature, and neither am I daft enough to think the PLC and everyone on it gets everything wrong.
On pricing though I feel they let the less well off fans down badly.
We are cash rich, by many millions, why do they need to eak out even more from the fans,
Just because it is a business ? soem businesses can act in the best interests of sharehoilders AND customer alike.
are they really so remote from joe public ?
i find it disconcerting, that when the big names come many young fans will not get to see them.
It is an injustice so it is.

if this board had been around at the penny dinners they would have been turning those away that didnt have the coin.
as an aside,
i will be watching scotland v england and hoping for a scottish win.
mccoist and souness though, gies feckin peace, seriously, talking shite.
however miss breach is a wonderful host.
pps, Norway will pump georgia, and scotlands will lose next game in spain, as unlikely as it seems, they could still Hibs it yet.
I’m fortunate to be able to afford Champions League football.
Am fine with headline price but slightly disappointed by the narrow definition of concessions.
One of our group of 4 is a student.
When I enquired about a concession being available for a concession season ticket .. was told nope, not for students.
£552 paid.
Now I might be out of touch.
Many people have the reference point of pop concerts, International Rugby, Golf, shows at the Hydro or even the Opera for comparison.
I don’t do any of the above and have little idea of their cost.
How are the mascots who come out with players chosen ?. Curious.
Really interested to watch Calmac tonight in a midfield with plenty of support around him
excellent booing of god save the king
One SPL player in the line-up
You guessed it, Calum McGregor

I am still not over being promised a medal at least from argentina,
this campaign, the talking up of everything, and then the bit of expectation creeping in, ,,,,,,
well you know, once you start singing about 10 in a row, ……. you know what CAN HAPPEN NEXT.
Saw the STV news tonight and had it confirmed that Bernard Ponsonby is a HUN.
It may not be a popular view, but in my opinion, having been in similar circumstances myself, if you ever do find yourself down to your next foodbank handout or even that you’re short on your last instalment for your brief, then maybe champions league ticket packages for the whole family should not be top of your shopping list…

except on champions league nights when we will up the prices in all categories in the hope that we can sell more tickets to people not on the SB and are willing to pay mich higher prices in a public sale.
looking at the hampden crowd, plenty of people in the passageways , is the hampden doubling up turnstyles now even better known ?
25 mins and we have created nothing yet. England have had a couple of decent chances and look the more likely.
Three shots on the game so far, all English, nothing on target, riveting stuff!
Scotland giving the ball away far too cheap
Is Gilmour playing?
As poor a goal to give away as you ever will see
Started with Tierney’s poor cross
2-0
Scotland getting overrun by England. Shame.
Snap
Bellingham, Rashford, Kane . . . let’s be honest they have top class forwards in abundance. We have Adams.
Bernard Ponsonby is never a hun. He supports Celtic.
RAY WINSTONE’S BIG DISEMBODIED HEID

You are mistaken there.

Was thinking the same. I had to check the lineup to confirm
Ponsonby is a definite Celtic supporter.
McGinn wasted out left. Gilmour a man down in midfield.
Saint Stivs, do you honestly believe that your shopping list is typical of families who struggle for cash? Or do you just believe absolutely everything you read in the Daily Mail? Weirdo….
HT and not even close. England could be 4 or 5 up.
Gilmorton had the ball in the 40th minute, was the first time I knew he was on the park!

Gilmour, bloody spell checker
..
No surprise there then!
