CALLUM TO GET SCOTLAND CALL-UP

CALLUM McGREGOR is poised for a Scotland call-up for next month’s crucial World Cup qualifier against England at Hampden.
The Celtic midfielder impressed international boss Gordon Strachan with a stunning run of four goals in his past five games, including back-to-back strikes against Sevco Rangers.
CQN Magazine has been calling for international recognition for a player who has had an outstanding season and has gradually won over those in the support who liked to direct a wee bit of criticism to a player that Brendan Rodgers rates very highly.

THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE CELTIC…

McGregor will be the seventh Hoops star in the squad after six of his club-mates started and starred in the 1-0 victory over Slovenia in March which kept their slim World Cup hopes alive. The Bhoys that day saved Scotland boss Strachan and his assistant Mark McGhee’s jobs.

Craig Gordon, Kieran Tierney, Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong, James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths were all involved in the dramatic encounter at Hampden where Chris Martin scored the last-minute winner.
McGregor is an almost certain starter this  lunchtime against Hearts. If Celtic avoid defeat they will achieve something very special indeed. Completing a league campaign is a remarkable achievement. Then on Saturday, a win in the Scottish Cup will confirm the status for these players as the Best Celtic team since Lisbon…what an achievement that would be.
