Calm it, Moussa

417

I’m now at the stage when I’m hoping people stop noticing Moussa Dembele. Last night’s two goals for France Unider-21s against their England counterparts further established the player’s reputation. He’s going to be on shopping list of every team with north of £20m to spend.

Great, if you’re struggling to buy out a valued retail partner, not so useful if you’re solvent and aspiring to build a Champions League reputation.

At a conference this week so will miss the AGM tomorrow.

  1. Mod 1 is Peter Lawwell.

    The other is DD.

If they come on here tomorrow to deny it I might believe them.

    WINNING CAPTAINS

Regan is toast, hopefully he’ll sing before he goes.

    Singing toast?

Great idea. You could go away and leave it, and it would tell you when it’s ready, with a few tuneful notes.

Maybe even teach it some rebel songs>))

  3. Doc, how is Auld Doc ?

Auld Cowiebhoy got ooot hospital on Friday, now has daily care in the hose with a nurse.

Thanks to all who offered their prayers

    Hail Hail

Would it be the following who would choose Regan’s successor (or would they delegate powers to a sub-committee)??

    Alan McRae (President)

    Rod Petrie (Vice President)

    Ralph Topping (SPFL)

    Michael Mulvanney(SPFL)

    Tom Johnston (Juniors)

    Barrie Jackson (Independent Non Executive)

    Gary Hughes. ( ” ” ” ” ” .” ” “)

If the Requisitioners are satisfied with Board’s statement of intent then that will be good enough for me. HH

  5. Really hoping for good news from the AGM tomorrow re resolution 12.

I’m also hoping that there will be news re the fans’ café, beside the superstore. The museum too and Melbourne Mick’s Celtic shop in his local mall.

And two tickets for the league cup final for Lynchiebhoy.

  6. Doc.

I think that happened a long time ago. 9.14.

    Cowiebhoy.

Stewart Robertson, they are desperate for EBT McLeish to be the manager.

  7. So I bemoan lack of yellow and cards and then TD goes and promptly gets a yellow card. With these super powers I’ll be unstoppable!

    They call me Jinx Man!

I think the AGM will go well…

  8. CowieBhoy, good news!

Auld Doc still in, he thinks he will be home soon.

I think he is an optimist, but then I’d rather be an optimist than a mineshafter:-)

He has a few goals, and has scored a few, a few more to go.

Re Res 12, the mystery of when SFA advised UEFA of RFC(IL) no longer being eligible for a Euro license seems very straightforward to me.

Once they went into administration and it became apparent that they owed 10’s of millions in vat and taxes there was no way SFA could ignore this and this is probably when UEFA were informed.

I would bet that the letter to UEFA had nothing to do with the license issued for that yrs euro competitions and related to the following seasons euro participants as RFC, even with points deduction were still going to finish in a Euro place.

    Re cup final tickets

I am really passed off that the main criterion for getting a cup final ticket seems to be having attended the semi final against the zombies.

I am on the home ticket scheme and attended both motherwell and same old Alloa ties. Was offered tickets for the semi but did not take them as I don’t want to attend games v them.

The latest tranche of tickets seemed to be open to anyone who attended the semi final but no account was taken of the few who attended the first two games only.

Hate hamdump anyway but there is a principle here imo. Pandering to the old firmers imo.

  11. Nae idea who the Mods are on here.

For balance I think we should also have a couple of Rockers.

Could always have an end of season hootenanny in Brighton!

Did you go to Bellarmine per chance?

I think we may have went to the Jungle in our younger days if your initials are T Mc?

  13. Doc :-)).

    Parkheadcumsalford.

The theory goes that Sevco are looking to place Rangers Men in positions of power. Regan is playing hardball with them and as they probably will want to rent Hampdump and with Res 12 still on going etc, they want a safe pair of hands. Robertson is employed by Sevco at present. McLeish well that’s just a favour for an out of work mason.

  14. GGH

To be fair, the lassie at the ticket office did not say it was only for the semi-final attendees who had not been offered a final ticket who were eligible: that was my assumption.

The card I am using, my brother’s, did get a semi-final ticket on the Home Ticket Scheme (not used by either of us) but already had one ticket for the final offered. All I know for sure is that if you were at the semi (and maybe the early rounds) but do not already have a final ticket, you are eligible.

    Anybody know for sure?

P.S. Obviously I agree with you that the O** F***ists should not get preference.

  16. Doc

I hope to be back at some of the games in February as one of my season ticket holding pals goes away to warm climes for the winter and it may be available to me then and will certainly be in touch with you.

Has anybody seen or heard from Delaney’s Dunkey , haven’t seen any posts for him since Ross County game ,maybe visiting Jersey after an exchange we had a few weeks ago. Hope you are ok DD.

I like to talk about the team and former players and enjoyed the crack on Sunday re all time best teams it was nice and positive, and lastly the board and CEO get plenty of stick on here but it would be nice if one of the shareholders got up and congratulated them on giving us Brendan, Which in turn has given us optimism and desire to get behind the team HH

  17. PapaJoe55, just let me know when you can get to a game, same arrangement will apply:-)

BT, is there a wee spare for a wee guy?

If so I’ll see if I can get along? Still working away, but might be able to get there.

  18. JNP,

Thanks for the update. I dare say they’ll go to any lengths to try and stave off the prospect of anyone looking too closely at the corruption at the heart of Scottish football, even if it means the national team getting poorer and poorer, as no one tries to change the “get tore into them” nonsense that inhibits the development of real football players in this country.

  19. Ggh/sftb

It seems that those who took semi final tickets have been given preference over those who attended the earlier ties against Motherwell and Alloa.

    SFTB

You are correct. If you did not buy a ticket for the semi final, you cannot get a ticket for the final.

I attended all games at Celtic Park this season apart from one (v zombies). I am on home ticket scheme and at the early rounds but am not eligible for a final ticket as I did not purchase a ticket for the semi final.

I just think supporters who attended the less glamorous games should not be overlooked because they don’t want to go to Sevco games.

Had I been organising the sale, my priority order would have been those who attended Alloa game first. Then Motherwell and then the Sevco game. I am quite sure there are a lot of folk with tickets for the final who wouldn’t have been at the semi if it had been against Morton and who didn’t attend the earlier rounds at Celtic Park. They also won’t be at Celtic Park if me draw Auchenshuggle Stanklifters in the early rounds of the Scottish cup but will be looking for tickets if we draw Third Rankers.
