CALMAC OUT, JURANOVIC NEW BLOW

CELTIC have confirmed Callum McGregor will miss tomorrow night’s clash against Bayer Leverkusen while Josip Juranovic also faces a spell on the sidelines.

The crushing Hoops injury list will see their captain miss his fifth successive match as he watches the Europa League Group G encounter against the Bundesliga giants from the Parkhead stand.

And Croatian international defender Juranovic, who hirpled off in the first-half in the 1-1 draw with Dundee United on Sunday, is expected to be on the treatment table for at least another fortnight, according to a report in the Daily Record.

McGregor has an outside chance of playing in the Premiership visit to Pittodrie on Sunday where he could go toe to toe with former skipper Scott Brown and his struggling Aberdeen team-mates who have failed to win in their last eight outings.

James McCarthy, who was on the receiving end of some rough treatment from the Tannadice side that saw Jeando Fuchs booked for an over-the-top challenge, missed the second-half at the weekend, but is fit to take his place in midfield tomorrow.
