CAP BOOST FOR NEW BHOY

CELTIC new Bhoy, Marian Shved, has been called up to the Ukrainian international squad.

The winger, who cost £2million during the January transfer window before being loaned back to FC Karpaty, started training with his Hoops team-mates this week following the completion of his nation’s top league.

Shved, 21, has been impressive for his ex-club since agreeing the switch to Parkhead and is now hoping to add to the one cap he already has for his country, which came last November against Turkey.

Ukraine will take on Serbia and Luxembourg next month in Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Exciting youngster Shved can then focus on making a breakthrough at the champions, but he realises he faces a tough fight to claim a first-team place.

Lewis Morgan will be returning from League One outfit Sunderland when his temporary transfer expires while Aussie World Cup touchline flyer Daniel Arzani, injured in his Hoops debut against Dundee in October, will also be determined to make an impact in his last season in Glasgow before he returns to Manchester City.
