KIERAN TIERNEY is surprised Celtic skipper Scott Brown has been overlooked among the PFA Player of the Year nominees.
The champions have Moussa Dembele, Scott Sinclair and Stuart Armstrong in the four-man shortlist as well as Aberdeen’s Jonny Hayes.
But the Hoops’ inspirational midfielder has been snubbed which has left Tierney puzzled.

The 19-year-old international left-back admitted: “Everybody here deserves the nominations.
“I actually think there are a few players who aren’t here who deserve it, such as Scott Brown, who’s been outstanding this season.
“There are good players in other teams, but we’ve been relentless this season, so that’s why there are a few Celtic players.”
Tierney is in the running for his second successive Young Player of the Year title with Parkhead pals Patrick Roberts and Dembele as rivals while Hibs frontman Jason Cummings makes up the quartet.
The defender, who had been sidelined for three months with ankle and shoulder problems before returning in January, added: “It would be great if I won, but I’m realistic, and I have great competition.
“Moussa and Patrick have done really well this season.”
