The harsh reality is that no matter how good a player’s YouTube compilation video is, we risk millions on transfer fees, contracts and, more importantly, opportunity cost for players forgone. My expectation is that Breum’s agent and Celtic are working a deal from both sides. If concluded, Celtic internet will celebrate a huge success. That’s the easy part, the hard work to become a success at Celtic all happens after the player gets a squad number.

Coneybhoy There was a goalkeeper called Tom Sinclair who came on loan from Ibrox in the early 1900s to stand in for Davie Adams after he had torn his hand on a nail in a goalpost while playing in a testimonial match. This loan was mentioned in Robert Kelly’s book. Possibly some of the players in the first Celtic team were “loans”, although whether their parent clubs were aware of it or not is another question.
