Celtic 1-0 St Johnstone

The champions stretched some of the limbs from their squad against St Johnstone tonight as a first half Anthony Stokes goal secured the points.  It was one of those rare, balmy, Celtic Park occasions when three or four layers of clothing were sufficient, not the customary seven or eight.

Highlight for the evening was the standing ovation for captain-for-the-night, Mark Wilson.  A 22-year-old Wilson joined Celtic over six years ago and provided us with some great memories, most notably his Scottish Cup-tie winning goal against Rangers last season, but his career has been blighted by injury since late 2006, robbing him of hundreds of appearances for the team he has supported all his life.

Moh Bangura had a rare 90 minutes and was unfortunate not to open his Celtic scoring account.  Anthony Stokes played a drear cross-field pass to Bangura, who was some 40 yards away.  The striker from Sierra Leone had options but made space for a shot which rebounded back off the post.

Bangura has a hand in Stokes earlier goal.  He got a touch on a 28th minute corner pushing the ball to Stokes who finished clinically.

Thereafter the outcome was never in doubt, although Celtic were seldom clinical.  21-year-old Nigerian Rabiu Ibrahim made his Celtic on 74 minutes when he replaced Kris Commons and looked comfortable on the ball.

To board a Chattanooga choo choo

    I’ve got my fare

And just a trifle to spare

You leave the Pennsylvania Station ’bout a quarter to four

Read a magazine and then you’re in Baltimore

    Dinner in the diner

    Nothing could be finer

Than to have your ham an’ eggs in Carolina

When you hear the whistle blowin’ eight to the bar

Then you know that Tennessee is not very far

    Shovel all the coal in

    Gotta keep it rollin’

Woo, woo, Chattanooga there you are

    There’s gonna be

A certain party at the station

    Satin and lace

I used to call “funny face”

    She’s gonna cry

Until I tell her that I’ll never roam

    So Chattanooga choo choo

    Won’t you choo-choo me home?

  2. googybhoy,

i’ve got the HTC One -S.

It’s great. camera isn’t as pin sharp as the iPhone 4S, and video player is also a bit more grainy. It’s still good though, and very nippy. CQN works great! Bit bigger than the Desire. Samsung Galaxy-III is out soon (probably six weeks or so) so you might want to hold off before doing anything.

If it siwngs it to stay with Android rather than go with iOS then champ manager is now available for android phones :-)

Do NOT get a windows phone (Nokia Lumia etc) and clearly not a blackberry.

Softball involves playing on a base with guys sliding on to that base and coming into contact with your toes ( or in my case, brokwen big toe)! BTW Has anybody broken their big toe? it makes walking agony.

Also I’m not saying it has the same intensity as a cL game, but I was playing for nothing, he wa getting thousands of pounds to play. That involves making sacrifices and playing through the pain barrier a major requirement IMO.

How many times could he have played, but decided not to? With big money comes big sacrifices, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore!

Bhoys we have been cheated for years by Rangers and now they .are attempting to pull of the switch of all switches in order to leave the creditors including the tax man with next to nothing and start a new club who will have no debt. Now some on CQN are saying this person or that person this rule or that rule will stop them in there tracks when are these people going to wake up and smell the coffee.Rules for Rangers are.non existant they make them up to suit themselves Scottish football is looking into the abyss and the MSM are at best incompitent as this goes on or complicit.Any little credibility the Scottish game had is about to be crushed and a cheats charter will be accepted and validated by the powers that .be. H.H.
