I was walking back from a game with my dad recently and we got counting how many times Celtic had won the league in our lifetimes. For me, it’s now 34. Only two more have been won in my dad’s lifetime. He’s 25 years older than me, and one of those two was won the year before I was born.
It is impossible for those of us who have only lived during the last 60 years to get our heads around how rare a Celtic title win was during the 40 years before Jock Stein arrived and reinvented the club. Whenever you read that our game has become “tedious”, fill your boots with how you and I are living through Generations of Domination like no team has ever dominated before, not even Stein’s great side.
By being such imperious champions, we have elevated Scottish football. League Cup wins by anyone but Celtic are celebrated like never before. The same is true for our League Cup wins, the value everyone else places on winning a trophy seeps into our sense of achievement. There are no lesser trophies in Scotland now, because Celtic create such scarcity.
Sport thrives with great champions, they pack stadiums, set standards for others to chase and inspire the next generation. They will never admit it, but Celtic are a gift to every other team in Scotland.
Congratulations to Brendan, the players, the board, the backroom team and every last person who cheered the team along this season. Champions again!

Champions again!
Unprecedented times to be cherished. Contrast with the dreaded 90s. Unlike the hun supremacists we should never be entitled or complacent. But when we pull together we are unstoppable.
A massive thank you to Brendan, the players, the back room staff, the CEO and majority shareholder for providing such a source of happiness during a dark period in world history. Amazing work by all.
For me 35 and counting
Champions Olé, Olé, Olé , Olé
Na na-na nana-na-na nana-na-na Celtic
I’m in the ‘35’ club – I was eight when we took the title at Fir Park in ‘66 – seems like yesterday!
35 titles in my lifetime of going on 66.
The most we have been ahead of them was 6 titles in 1919. Last time we were ahead of them was 1928.
They were 14 titles ahead of us in 1965 and we got that down to 3 by 1988. Then they went 13 ahead by 2000. Now we have parity.
(all the above based in including their 2 incarnations and their EBT titles)
36 for me, though I don’t remember much of the 53/54 victory other than my brothers going nuts. First big trophy win for me was the 7-1. And then the long wait….. until it was over!
Had a recount I’m also on 36 but 35 supporting the Bhoys
Congratulations to Brendan, the players, the board, the backroom team and every last person who cheered the team along this season. Champions again!

Music to my ears!
Newcastle United have lined up a glamorous pre-season trip to Celtic in July in what they hope will be a curtain-raiser for both clubs’ Champions League campaigns.
Newcastle are set to confirm the Celtic Park date imminently,
Our emerald title and 35 for me.
And after our 3rd five goal hit on the trot we might as well make it 4 next week.
Annie Engels might not have all the accolades this season but for a guy of his age to have played 50 games at such a high level is phenomenal. What a contributor. Idah for all our misgivings has been our second highest scorer this season without being a guaranteed starter.
With our progress in Europe and our utter domination at home this has been well and truly one phenomenal season. Well done Brendan and your coaching team.
Well done celtic,at every level,the board,the team,the fans,if one of the 3 fail,we won’t win anything,together we are unbeatable in this league .

IF Celtic score FIVE Goals against the Huns this Sunday, would that be the 1st time in our history that Celtic have scored FIVE goals in FOUR Games in a Row ?

When Celtic score FIVE Goals against the Huns this Sunday, would that be the 1st time in our history that Celtic have scored FIVE goals in FOUR Games in a Row ?
Hope you’re well Jimmy! HH!
What a weekend!!! I believe the fans get the assist with stopping the game on Saturday and allowing our bhoys to get restarted. Someone mentioned the other day about all our friends and family members that have passed and don’t get the chance to celebrate another green and white victory. I think about my auld man all the time. I have one of the old books with pictures of the fans in lisbon, and there is the bold Myles on the field arms outstretched, whisppy wave of orange hair sticking up. before it went off to pastures new and disappeared. My mother was 7 1/2 months pregnant with my brother when he set off on his pilgrimage to Lisbon. I was born in the year of our Lord 1971.
To all our green and white departed, we miss you everyday, and will enjoy these victories to the fullest as many of us remember when titles were a rarity. Thank you Brendan, players, board, coaches, but especially to us fans. Most players come and go, but we were born into this and we will die knowing that we will meet our green brothers and sisters again someday and watch from above looking down on a new generation of Celtic fans.
God bless my friends and Hail Hail.
Sean

My Bets is ON with the Bookies for Celtic to score FIVE Goals this Sunday against the Govan mob.
I have a couple of CORRECT SCORES ON.
Cheers and HH Mate.
Hail, hail to the good guys and let’s celebrate another title! Unlike others we have earned each and every league championship; no ‘improperly registered’ players, no EBTs, no funny handshakes or secret societies, to paraphrase the Bunnet, we paid all our bills and kept our history. I added that part as Chris McLaughlin has a piece about our league win on the BBC website about Celtic in numbers, he mentions the manky mob as much as Celtic. Anything to compare and contrast, but as I said the comparison and contrast couldn’t be starker Celtic FC founded in 1887 and played our first game in 1888 has an unbroken and unblemished record to rattle off stats about the 1990s and beyond and also include the Covid Title for Triggers Broom FC is not journalism but cowardice and downright lies.
Good afternoon all from the Brazen Head. A warm day in old Gorbals and some of my fellow Tims are looking worse for wear. These fine fellows have no willpower and discipline like wot I does. So there now.
I too have been around for 35 League titles. I have also been around for 25 Cups and all 22 league Cups starting from 7-1. My first being in the crowd was 1965 Scottish cup. I reckon I have been at all our winning Scottish Cups since 1965. My first game was 1959
What a period of domination. In addition we have generally played the beautiful game as it should be played with attacking flair.
I would love to see a few more honours before departing this mortal coil .
I remember my dad, my Granddad my Uncles and several of my 50 cousins, my son’s and friends all at Celtic games. Rarely do I watch Celtic without meeting some of the above. I hope the next generation of my grandchildren will soon be joining us at Paradise
On to the treble!
Congratulations to Brendan, the players, the board, the backroom team and every last person who cheered the team along this season. Champions again!

Delighted to see Paul having a road-to-Damascus conversion re praising oor Brendan and his entourage.
We do live in special supporter times, following a really special club.
Can I just say I don’t want to be any kind of gift at the Hunnery this Sunday; it would make the season anti-climatic for me.
Perhaps Glasgow city councils could organise a celebration for us
The parade, which is being organised by Liverpool City Council, is expected to last between three and five hours.
Council leader Liam Robinson said: “We’re delighted to officially invite Liverpool Football Club to parade around the city on 26 May.
“A Liverpool victory parade is more than football – it’s a celebration of our city’s pride, passion and community spirit.”
Robinson said it was going to be a “bumper weekend in Liverpool”, adding that a huge amount of work had already been done behind the scenes in preparation.
A gift to every team in Scotland?
Aye, I can hear the cheers coming from them all when we do battle in Europe and put funds in their coffers while preferring empty seats to visiting supporters.
Feck them.
Ourselves alone. ☘️
jimmy.
i came across us scoring 5 or more for 4 games before but i am sure it was an old league cup sectional run
i will search out later.
as a wee aside . ff asked the question does the new owners and manager have to win the league to consider it a success . several responses said just win a cup . any cup . and be in the title race within a couple of wins
espanyolication right there
Dear Green Brigade,
“Litany of the Saints”, sung in similar unison as, “Come on you bhoys in Green”, is worthy of consideration.

I thin some contribution by Chris McLaughlin a while back resulted in the deid team having nothing to do with the BBC. I presume he is under strict orders never to repeat any criticism, however true, of them.

we should be holders of the Cork Super Cup by then.
if that doesnt put the fear into the geordies nothing will 😀
Rare post but we are champions, again, so felt compelled to post congrats to our silver addicted team/manager.
The 90s seem like another dimension nowadays, trophy after trophy, it might even give me closure on the Raith nightmare that still haunts me.
Magic times.
And more to come.
Treblemendous.
P.S. Eschew the BBC, for sanity & sanitary purposes.
the cork cup doent count because the rangers aint in it

Don’t hold your breath…
The very council that allows orange marches on a grand scale will surely see the Fenians celebrating as tantamount to thuggery…..
McGregor, Maeda, Kuhn along with Simon Murray up for Player of the Year
Full steam ahead and damn the torpedoes….
