Celtic: a morality tale

422

Just when you thought it was safe to have hope for the remainder of Celtic’s season, 13 of the squad, as well as Neil Lennon and John Kennedy have to isolate.  This is in addition to Christopher Jullien, who tested positive over the weekend.

This has been a failure by design.  Celtic did what was permitted, not what was wise.  We have been out-thought and out-planned all season, on and off the field.  The latest crisis happened because a player with a long-term injury travelled for warm weather training.  Where to being?  From a position of weakness, we needed to not put a foot wrong during the second half of the season, instead, we have become a morality tale for others to learn from.

If you like watching Celtic with overwhelming odds to fight against, you should enjoy the games ahead.

Best wishes to Christopher Jullien for a complete recovery.

You sound like the kinda guy to be stuck in a trench with.

  3. Oh Hibs are ABSOLUTELY grandstanding here, no doubt about it.

Celtic has lost 13 players who have tested negative. They won’t even be allowed in the stadium. As some have pointed out, this may even include players who’ve already had the bug.

Hibs are showboating, nothing more. It is outrageous behaviour.

I’ve gone from being thermonuclear pissed at the club at the start of the day to being eager for kick-off so I can watch our third string wipe the floor with these chancers.

Hibs , or at least those in charge at Hibs are every bit as anti-Celtic as their Edinburgh neebors . Cloaked in a similar Budgie like self righteousness too.

i’m sure the public/gov would understand football teams buying up vaccines.

tho it might give the govs someone to blame for the increase (untested) timelines between the first ans second jabs.

hmmm Wee Durty Nickers will probably be adding that to Celtic’s application to travel to destinations unknown as I speak.

  6. ” Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, has revealed that when the Hoops first spoke of a winter training camp, Dubai was not mentioned” – I presume it is easy to verify what destination was actually approved.

Interesting idea nonetheless, would make contract law a hoot.

  7. I normally wound be incandescent about this but with a 22 point gap, it doesn’t really matter too much.

  8. Coneybhoy- I thought she was working her notice, but all this bollox from Hibs and Sky,over 1 case? Geez peace.

I have money, gimme the vaccine!!

S Dyche came out with that last week.

The legality of the matter – or the expression of an honestly-held view about it – makes the suggestion that rich sportspeople should be allowed to buy vaccines in advance of fellow-citizens in higher-risk categories no less reprehensible (only in my opinion, of course).

    Each to his own, though.

I would find that surprising as Dubai was the safest place to visit at the time the application was made.

Case surge occurred as a result of visitors going for Christmas and ex pats taking it back with them.

I agree but also I think they are still annoyed we stole their team after helping us get set up back in 1888!

  16. Listening to the English media questioning Hancock and the CMO – every question on the disease and the vaccine – not a mention of footballers even though issues appeared over the weekend.

  17. The crazy covid restrictions have always been way over-the-top . Lockdowns doing more harm than good. Whats happening with the team is a farce on so many different levels.

But with most meekly accepting everything government and media are spouting then this is the kind of crazy situation we get.

Ditch the Analysis; this is what we need at half-time!!! 😊 🧣🍀

(Video and live too when we’re allowed back in!)

Maybe this will be a way of stemming the flood tide of season-ticket non-renewals too? 😂🧣🍀

Take Care, Keep Safe, God Bless and Hail Hail,

    Hope you’re all paying attention.

This is a mess of Celtic’s making, for sure, but when it all blows over (which it will), I hope all Celtic fans will remember how the SMSM (BBC in particular), politicians and other clubs couldn’t wait to put the boot in.

  20. FYI

Daily rate of covid tests, Dubai v Scotland:

Dubai 2404 tested positive from 133458 to give 1.8%.

Scotland 2782 tested positive from 17740 to give 11.5%.

Thus far, Dubai and whole UAE have a far better record than Scotland and UK. Of course, so do most countries.
