NEW BHOY Patrick Roberts admitted he is delighted to be joining a “massive club” as he prepares for his 18-month loan spell at Celtic.

The Manchester City attacker is in Glasgow to finalise details and spoke positively about the move.
Roberts, who was bought by the Etihad giants from Fulham last summer in a deal that could rise to £12million, is hoping that his time in with the SPFL champions can help provide a springboard to first team football when he returns to his parent club in 2017.He said: “It’s a massive club. Everyone knows Celtic around the world.

“I’ll be building experience to take back to Manchester City.”

Roberts is the fourth player to join the Hoops from City following fellow-loanees Jason Denayer and John Guidetti while central defender Dedryck Boyata arrived on a four-year permanent deal in July with the fee reckoned to be in the region of £1.4million.

The exciting winger has represented England at various youth levels from Under-16 to Under-19 level.
