‘CELTIC ARE PERFECT CLUB FOR OLI,’ INSISTS ZIDANE

FRENCH legend Zinedine Zidane insists Celtic are the perfect club for his countryman Olivier Ntcham to make an impact.

The Real Madrid boss has kept tabs on the powerful midfielder following the 21-year-old playmaker’s £4.5million move from Manchester City to the treble-winners a fortnight ago.

Ntcham didn’t get too many opportunities to shine at the Etihad giants and spent the last two seasons on loan in Serie A with Genoa.

Zidane said: “The most important thing for a player of that age is to be playing regularly.

“And if you can be playing regularly for a club that is in the Champions League, then that is even better because you can test yourself at the very top level.

“It is very difficult to break into a club like Manchester City as a young player – as there is so much pressure on the clubs for instant success.

“Celtic is the perfect club for him to mature and grow as a player. I am sure he looked at the season Moussa Dembele had and that is something he wants to replicate.”

The French Under-21 striker, of course, had a sensational debut campaign with the Hoops after his £500,000 switch from Fulham at the end of his contract last summer.

Despite injury in the run-in to the historic season, he hammered in a remarkable 32 goals.

Zidane believes Ntcham can have a similar impact as his young French colleague.
