CELTIC BRACED FOR ANOTHER COVID KO

CELTIC are bracing themselves for another Covid-19 KO after Hatem Abd Elhamed was placed in isolation.

The Israel international defender complained of feeling unwell following the 2-1 Nations League loss to the Czech Republic in Haifa last night.

The Hoops right-back was removed from his country’s squad and will have a coronavirus test this morning as Neil Lennon anxiously awaits the result as he plans for Saturday’s Premiership visit of Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox squad, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.

The Irishman has already lost Elhamed’s Israeli team-mate Nir Bitton after he tested positive following Thursday’s match against Scotland at Hampden.

Stiker Odsonne Edouard is also set to miss the derby after picking up the virus while on duty with the France Under-21 squad.

Midfielder Ryan Christie is also in a 14-day quarantine after being deemed to be in close contact with Stuart Armstrong at the Scotland camp before the Euro play-off semi-final against Israel which Steve Clarke’s men won 5-3 on penalty-kicks.
