‘CELTIC CAN SHOCK EUROPE AGAIN,’ MIKU

FORMER Celtic loan striker Miku believes the Hoops can surprise Barcelona in the Champions League encounter in Glasgow tomorrow night.
The Venezuela international was a surprise temporary signing by Neil Lennon when arrived from Getafe during the 2012/13 season.
Although he failed to make an impact in Glasgow, Miku still follows the progress of the Hoops.
And he reckons Brendan Rodgers’s side could shake Europe again – as they did against the Catalan giants four years ago.
Miku, now with Rayo Vallecano, said: “It is very hard to predict, but if Celtic can do everything in defence, then I think at Celtic Park they can score one goal and win the game.
“Maybe particularly if Moussa Dembele is good.
“But the main thing is that everyone has to sacrifice, be willing to run and be clear about what they are trying to do.”
Miku scored only two goals in 14 appearances for Lennon’s team and found it difficult to get a settled run with the likes of Gary Hooper, Anthony Stokes, Georgios Samaras and Tony Watt, the matchwinner in 2012, ahead of him in the frontline pecking order.
He left after one season to join Qatar outfit Al-Gharafa.
