CARDIFF CITY could be poised to offer Celtic South Korean Kim Bo-Kyung, who was on Ronny Deila’s wanted list in the summer.

The Hoops boss admits the midfield playmaker was a player he was tracking when he took over at Parkhead in May.
However, the Welsh club’s ex-gaffer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was not prepared to allow Kim to move on at the time.

Ironically, Deila took fellow-Norwegian Jo Inge Berget instead and returned the flop when his loan period ended this month.

Solskjaer has now been replaced by Russell Slade and Kim does not appear to be in the new manager’s plans.

The 25 year-old has played in just three Capital Cup-ties and two league games this season.

Kim first came on Celtic’s radar when Neil Lennon was in charge. However, he decided to join Cardiff from Japanese club Cerezo Osaka in July 2012 in a £2.5million transfer.

He signed a three-year deal, helping Malky Mackay’s side win promotion to the Premier League in his first season.

Deila could land the player at a bargain fee as Kim is out of contract in the summer.
Cardiff City may also look to arrange a swap deal with the SPFL champions.
They have been linked with Welsh international defender Adam Matthews and Republic of Ireland striker Anthony Stokes this season.
