The good news keeps coming today.  A solid 0-2   win away to Inverness, the gap at the top of the league narrowing by two points, and issue 4 of CQN Magazine is now out!  Out cover feature in this issue is an interview with Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace.  Willie lives in Australia but keeps in touch with events at Celtic through the internet.

Bobby Petta also speaks to us, recounting some of the great times he experienced as a Celtic player, as well as providing an introspective on the disappointing John Barnes season.

We cover some recent topical subjects, including policing of Scottish football, the perennial poppy and the financial crisis that has engulfed our game.  Checkout the speech from 1941 by President Roosevelt on four essential human freedoms.  At 60 pages it’s our biggest issue yet and stuffed full of great articles.  Get stuck in…

Read CQN Magazine for free online here. Subscriptions to the online copy are discretionary but you can contribute here. Old School-hard copies will be available from Magcloud shortly.

    Cheers for link

My Father in law has two brothers both priests and one sister a nun

they are into all things Aberdeen/Ross County/ICT so have had a few akward days over the years.

Singing nun was saying come on caley to me today when i was gettng txt but she wasnt to upset given I was there with my bhoys.

Good result and good goals cheers again

  2. I think of all the returning players its Izzy who will have most impact. We’ve really missed his attacking runs and trickery. Defensively he’s better than anything we have at the minute too although I don’t think that’s his forte. It’ll take him a wee while to get up to speed even when he does return so here’s hoping.

Up until the nonsense about his agent I would have thought Brown’s return would be welcome too but now I’m not so sure. He’s playing silly buggers at the minute. Not too sure about his comittement if there’s no new contract.

Wilson still hasn’t really convinced so far – hasn’t had time to settle really. Still has it all to prove and shouldn’t in my opinion be an automatic choice when fit.

A fit and on form Commons would be great and Charlie back and fit would be a bonus. Not too sure where I would play him though. Maybe in a 5 man midfield – home and away.

His work on here and other blogs, but most especially on RTCba

Is made the more remakable by it’s indefutable resolve to lay

No being from the west coast, Glasgow in particular, how come there seem to me to be so many Indian/Pakastanis support the hun, or am I seriously mistaken.

    …………………………………………………………………………………

I’ll post my intended answer again!

Attendance at non-denominational schools may account for some of it but I think you may find that the Scottish Asian community whose forebears came over from Pakistan (the Muslim community) have more of an allegiance to Celtic.

I think Matthews was the victum of a couple of hefty assualts which made him unable to play well today..

I will be suprised if he is fit for Wednesday…

think we need to look at the refs more than the training facilities..

I know where you’re sensitivity is coming from. If it was sang by anyone who doesn’t wear turbans it could be viewed as a slant that the turban is not quite as bad as the sash. But in the context, it was the opposite. It was a celebration of one culture against something that is racial and religious hatred disguised as a culture. The context of these things is always relevant, sadly.

  15. I used to train a boys fitba team, one of the coaches wore a turban, supported Rangers and had a boy (in the team) named Christian! He wis a survivor, a family man, as unoffensive as they come.

I go to the fitba every week with a die hard republican/socialist. He would fight to the last for his beleifs and has sacraficed plenty for them.

Years ago I worked with an oul joiner fae the Gorbals who told me the funniest story about how he travelled with his brothers up to Aberdeen in the 60’s in a car to see Celtic, they drank all the money they had and ended up with no money for the petrol back home. So they sold the car, stayed an exrtra night and went out on the lash before getting the train home the next day, and took what was coming from their spouses.

They all hail from Pakistan, not that it should matter.

I put the cover over the pool today, haven’t been in it for a couple of weeks, too feckin cold now, and the leafs of the trees are cloging the filters up, next year I will have the solar heaters installed, need to get a couple of more rads fitted, a winter time job, should in theory keep the pool open right through, so any time mi amigo.

Being a cynical sort of bloke it’s how the refs hand the game over to the hun, book a couple early on and let the hun control the game, simple really.
