Celtic coaches and the March Grand Tour

453

The March international break is one of the most important of the club season.  It is when managers and coaches get to take a proper look at the players targeted for the summer transfer window.  The Celtic management team will have looked at dozens of players on video since the January window closed, but, this break from domestic football, gives them the chance to do the Grand Tour, their last opportunity before the end of the season.

Having despatched his nearest two rivals away from home, with 10 men, in recent weeks, Brendan Rodgers took enormous pressure off the remainder of the season, which now largely consists of preparing for next month’s Scottish Cup semi-final.  Energies will have made a significant switch towards preparing for July’s Champions League qualifiers.

Getting these decisions right can be the difference between success and failure; Brendan will have used his ‘time off’ wisely.

I was foolish enough to take on the President of GUU in a beer bar debate, cant remember what it was about. Just for the hell of it,like.

Rules were, subject chosen, tossed a coin for which side you represented. In other words, you had to be prepared to argue both sides.

    Geezajoab,I can dae that.

Not against Charles Kennedy,I couldn’t. I think he took it easy on me.

Good man that he was,he commiserated the gallant loser loud and long. I wasn’t really a gallant loser,he trashed me. And I have to say it was a pleasure.

He also said to the crowd of over 500 people that he was going nowhere; Arsenal or whoever.

Your song choices from Jamaica remind me of my 2 years in Derby. My favourite place was a yardie club in Normanton. There was only ever 2 white dudes in the place on a Friday night. Myself and an Irish lad fae Dublin. The rastas loved us, and said we were the only white dudes allowed. No white Englishmen went near the place. The ‘erb they sold me was mind blowing. They did a mean Guinness and rum too. The joys of teen years.

  24. I know most of the Bhoys don’t like boycotts but here is my wee rant for today as highlighted by Mrs PMTYH.

Whether you are RC, Protestant, a follower of Islam or Judaism, Easter is undoubtedly a Christian celebration. It is to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ and whether you believe in the Resurrection or not is of no consequence. What is my point I hear you ask, or maybe not?

Well large multinational companies such as Cadburys, Mars and Nestlé make fortunes each year from selling Easter eggs, yes that is correct Easter eggs. They are making money hand over fist from the most important Christian celebration in the calendar. So why do Mars and Nestlé find the need to remove the word Easter from their chocolate egg products?

PMTYH, who will be boycotting all Mars, Nestlé and a company called Kinnerton products in future including deep fried Mars bars (although I’ve never had one).

DD, your club in Derby, reminds me of one that me and a few pals visited in Mosside (forgive the spelling) in Manchester when we were down for Lou McCarri testimonial.

5 of us all about 16 at the time were the only whites in the place, went down on the old Dry Dock bus. One of my mates who you know (bud Flannigan) nipped a black lass in a pub in Manchester town centre and that’s how we ended up in this Rasta club… It was Incredible speakers the size of the ceiling and blokes dressed like Huggy bear.

    Unbelievable night

I just checked on 3 cadbury Easter eggs we got for the grandkids – on the side it said ‘this Easter egg belongs to……’ and also https://easter.cadbury.co.uk/

However the word Easter is not prominent on the packaging

But generally I agree it is being dumbed down
