Celtic continue cornering French youth team

397

Celtic look set to continue their cornering of the French youth international team by capturing Olivier Ntcham (21) this week. He would be the most recent signing in a productive relationship with Manchester City which has seen Patrick Roberts, Dedryck Boyata and Jason Denayer all make the journey to from Manchester to Glasgow.

Olivier joined City as a 16-year-old and has been on loan at Genoa for the last two years. The player will doubtlessly be impressed by the progress of Roberts and international teammate, Moussa Dembele, at Celtic Park.

Ntcham is an attacking central midfield player who will compete with Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong for a place in the team. At 21, he has played a lot less football than either of them, but with 30-odd games in Serie A under his belt whose progress has been meticulously planned by City since 16, we should be getting someone first-team ready.

A year ago, we were told our signings were a reaction to the arrival in town of Joey Barton. I wonder who has us worried this year? Or maybe we just plan our business well, pay our bills, tax and NI, then spend whatever is left over. Like we have done for 20 years.

If we’re serious about justice, hit them were it hurts, in their pockets. No away support to any club that doesnt officially demand an independent inquiry into the years of cheating and no support whatsoever for any SFA Scottish Cup ties.

I came across some predictions from last year when the Hunnish hordes were full of misconceived confidence on the outcome of the season.

If you remember, many pundits were convinced Warburton’s team were going to sweep all before them in grand style.

So having despatched the previous failed team, Dave King must have handed some KPIs to Pedro Casino when he scooped him up from under the noses of a number of interested EPL clubs.

So based on King’s recent statements can we deduce what these might be?

I think they may have agreed on 4 main deliverables.

Number 1 is not as the teddies might wish. Closing the nigh on 40 point gap to match up with ourselves is far too much even for the gullibillies to swallow.

It can only be to overtake Aberdeen who were a mere 9 points and 27 goals ahead of the tribute act.

Number 2 would be to clear out the non performers and replace them with cheap, world class cast offs to reduce the payroll, put bums on seats and bring back the glory days.

Number 3 would be to convince the Klan that 1 and 2 were achievable and only required them to purchase replica shirts, increased season tickets and copious amounts of over priced pies and pizzas at home games.

    And the 4th unwritten goal?

It is obviously to provide as much entertainment and farce to long suffering Celtic fans who will be seeking emergency treatment from splitting sides and painful wide grins.

Lochee is the only place in Dundee where there is almost zero anti Celtic sentiment.

To a lesser degree Menzieshill also, but more or less an extension of a Lochee to the west.

Plenty of bitterness all over the city towards Celtic and by association, Catholicism, with these exceptions.

Celtic are odds-on favourites to re-sign midfielder Patrick Roberts, according to bookmakers Skybet. Other clubs have enquired as to the availability of the playmaker, but no deal has yet been completed. (Various)

A boycott of Hampden should have been done 5 years ago, but it’s never too late to get this done.

This is the very least we can do, a no brainer !!

They as we know don’t live in a real world and believe what they want
