CELTIC are pondering a £2million move for Maccabi Tel Aviv winger Tal Ben Haim.
The 25-year-old has been watched by the champions and they have been impressed.
Ben Haim, who started his career at Maccabi Petah Tikva, made the switch to Tel Aviv in 2013 and has two years left on his deal.
Ronny Deila’s men face competition from clubs in England, Ukraine and Belgium.
Standard Liege, who bought Tony Watt from the Hoops in the summer, have already had a £1.35million bid knocked back.
Ben Haim, who can play on either flank and off the striker, scored twice in four Champions League qualifiers this summer as Maccabi were beaten by the Parkhead side’s eventual conquerors Maribor in the third qualifying round.
Maccabi do not want their hottest property to quit the club, but a bid in the £2million bracket would test their resolve.
