CELTIC will have to wait 24 hours to discover if they are in pot three for tomorrow’s Champions League group stage draw.
The Hoops required one of four results to go their way in other ties to avoid going into pot four.
Unfortunately, the first three of those went the way of the higher-seeded sides with Olympiakos beating Rijeka 3-1 on aggregate, Napoli overcoming Nice 4-0 over two legs and Sevilla proving too strong for Istanbul Basaksehir following a 4-3 aggregate win.
That means Brendan Rodgers’ men must now hope Liverpool lose out to Hoffenheim at Anfield this evening if they wish to jump into the third pot of seeds.
The Mersey outfit take a 2-1 lead into the play-off second leg against the Bundesliga side.
The draw for the group stage takes place tomorrow afternoon at 5pm UK time at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
