Celtic face challenge of fortified Dens

213

Hope you all enjoyed a great Christmas yesterday and are looking forward to what is sure to be an atmospheric Celtic fix tonight.

Dundee are six points from safety at the bottom of the table and drifting ominously after their mini-revival ended a few weeks ago, so is this a forgone conclusion for Celtic?  Not at all.  This is the perfect game for Dundee; a packed Dens with the opportunity to dispense with the normal responsibility to take the game to their opponents.  Instead they can fortify themselves to take on the champions.

Celtic will have the opportunity to give James Forrest more playing time after his successful return from injury against Ross County on Saturday as they complete a run of three games against the bottom clubs in the SPL.

  1. Meanwhile back at the top of the scottish Premier league… A win for champions celtic at bottom of the league dundee tonight .. Would lift them 7 points clear with a game in hand.

  2. Oldtim – not manufacturer specific. Most fans are ‘universal’ and cross manufacturer compatible. If it is a fan problem your pc should sound like a plane taking off when it overheats.

Off to a big family get together (nots Dens) but will be lurking if you have any questions.

Big Tam legend was indeed manager that day. Don’t think he lasted long after that game. Think Dundee were relegated shortly after this game

  4. Dalziel said last week if he was in Naibalance shoes,we would have been off like a dirty shirt, now the fud says guys would be daft not to sign for the vermin…..

  6. Watching BBC Sportscene. Just shows you the lack of football brains among the “pundits” Craig Paterson, asked to suggest a Scottish manager, plumps for a Walter Smith type, who will make us hard to beat. Nothing about playing football or changing the way football is played, to encourage football players to blossom. Crass and head in the sand stuff. Mind you, he was awful as a player.

  7. Was at Dens that day, everything they hit in the first half went in.Was a sore one as a young(ish) bhoy, and a shock as we had a good team at the time.

  8. !! Bada Bing!!

Could you explain this comment ,please?

  9. Wee sad post here

There is a wee wummin stays across from me, a lovely wee lady, her man died a few years ago and she had no family, she hit the drink big time. I am sitting here watching the police, undertakers, doctor etc going in and out. Anyway, like I said, she had no family, just her and her wee dog.

So if ye pray, give her a wee mention.

  10. was also at Dens that day, think cesar was in charge and we lost a subtantial lead to loose the league to fergies sheep.. o((

an insight into our gutter Sevco propaganda press..

Never is the chat about what we at Celtic can spend on the transfer window…

    We actually CAN participate

In transfers AND have the money, yet the MSM would rather(a) talk our players out the door and (b)speculate about a tribute act currently serving an embargo.. Smoke n mirrors..

Move along now timmy, don’t be asking awkward questions that highlight our MSM bias..

Every passing second of my life I despise Sevco and the press more.. I need to get a wee lie doon…

I think we lost 9 points from our last 7 games, pretty shocking since it was only 2 points for a win back then.

Incidentally, i spelled cuckoo as coockoo on purpose…..seemed more appropriate in the sevco context…..

It’s written by a self-confessed Sevco fan, so at least he’s more honest than most! The clue is in the bit at the end where he wishes “the Rankers community” the compliments of the season…!

  19. Pau67, the postman delivered the CQN album to my home in ML9. I’ll save reading it until I wake up on Hogmanay morning when I’m not working.

I’m not too sure what the neighbouring Sevco fans will be reading, but I just know it won’t contain many truths about their current team, or the last team that called ibrox their home.
