Celtic fans to blame, apparently

902

I see Celtic fans are being blamed for rumours of Newco’s administration by their former manager, Ally McCoist. He could argue that. Alternatively, you could suggest that a business unable to secure bank borrowing, dependent on funding from directors, who will soon be forced to find £11m to make a share offer, has created more than enough financial uncertainty without Celtic fans’ assistance.

McCoist suggested “even the biggest Celtic fans in the country” do not want to see Newco go into administration. Not so sure you are right there, Ally. Personally, I would find it a funny, but it is not going to change anything. It would not lead to relegation and will not change the title race in any way.

The most significant outcome of administration could be forcing control from Dave King. Which would be a source of enormous regret.

You hang in there, Dave.

The CQN Podcast: A Celtic State of Mind (EP28) with former Celtic director Tom Grant

Paul John Dykes and Kevin Graham are joined by Celtic’s ex-director, Tom Grant, who offers a fascinating insight into the running of the club in the 1980s and 1990s.

Tom Grant explains exactly why Celtic refused to complete the Mo Johnston transfer in 1989, and lifts the lid on audacious efforts by Billy McNeill to recruit Peter Beardsley and Steve Bruce.

Tom Grant also dissects his relationship with Fergus McCann, and the impact of the ‘Celts For Change’ movement in overturning the ‘family dynasty’ board in 1994.

Btw,Ryan Bertrand played 28 games for Chelsea in his ten years there. Plenty of time on loan though.

He won seven England caps in that period, and moved to Southampton-where he continues to be an international regular-at roughly the same time as Big Virgil, and for roughly the same amount.

    Just saying.

It would be a bit time consuming to go back through posts taking us back to the summer transfer window when Musonda was first being linked and Ntcham signed “instead”

There was many an outcry on here at that time and it has been mentioned a lot since then i am very surprised that you have not noticed.

Musonda is just the latest in a long line of players who get linked and then don’t sign causing uproar on here. Most of these never go onto do anything. Alfreð Fingboasson is a prime example.

That is why i trust the management team, the scouting system and the board. If they think a player is the right player great. If not I would stand by them as evidence would suggest they probably got it right.

Having been at a function where Erik was present I doubt very much he is 6’1″ more like 5’10 or 11, what he is is very well developed and he appears to do serious conditioning work, in short he is built like a boxer

My own take on the club from Govan is that they will not be allowed to die.Same as 2012.

However,if the best case scenario eventuated, what would happen?Seriously! What would happen?50k people who attended a match every fortnight would do what?Seriously!Any thoughts? Yes, a few would support their local team, a few would give the game away, but what of the rest–30k? Thoughts, please. HH.

They will follow the team playing Celtic………???
