CELTIC FLOP MOVES

CELTIC £1.8million misfit Amido Balde has joined Hapoel Tel Aviv on loan after his disastrous spell in Belgium.

Ronny Deila shipped out the Guinea-Bissau international striker to Waasland-Beveren in August.

Balde’s opening season at Parkhead after arriving from Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes was dreadful.

The powerful frontman netted just three league goals in 20 appearances, although 17 of them were from the bench.

He fared little better in Belgium, managing just one goal in his 14 appearances for Waasland-Beveren.

Now he’s off again to Israel to join Hapoel Tel Aviv, who are currently struggling in ninth place in the Israeli League.
Former Celtic star Eyal Berkovic is the general manager of the club.

Head coach Asi Domb said: “We are delighted to welcome Amido to the club.

“We believe he has all the attributes to be an important player for us in the latter part of the season.”
