With St Mirren’s top of the table and derby clashes out of the way, Lewis Morgan attended a medical this morning ahead of his potential move to Celtic. The 21-year-old can play in left, right or central advanced midfield positions.
The player is out of contract in the summer and now free to choose his next contract, although a training compensation fee would be payable, the level of which Celtic have reportedly agreed with St Mirren. It is an indication of the times we live in, when a former Rangers mascot makes Celtic is his destination of choice.
That training compensation fee would not make him Celtic property until summer, so St Mirren are right to resist a little extra cash to part with him early, with their promotion push at a critical phase.
When Brendan Rodgers spoke after our Scottish Cup tie against St Mirren in March he suggested the Championship side were the best domestic opponents we had faced that season. Morgan clearly made an impression the manager followed up on.

A number of Celtic supporters, here and elsewhere have raised concern about the club using Park’s of Hamilton to provide our transport. It was even raised-and casually brushed aside-at The AGM.
I think the club may now have to look seriously at alternative suppliers. Or we may get caught in the fall-out from the impending cold-shoulder over Ibrox way.
As RALPH MALPH points out here…

I should add especially for any Bhoys and Ghirls on her who are very intelligent and DON’T normally throw their hard earned dosh at horse racing, if you decide to back a Nicky Henderson trained horse at any time always remember that his NO.1 Stable Jockey is a chap called NICO DE BONVILLE….( with a name like that he’s obviously from The Calton….LOL ?)
Anyways, like many trainers the trainer Nicky Henderson sometimes runs MORE than one horse in a race, and I will try and ensure that I mention that when suggesting his horses anytime
?
Over many years, I have seen his main Jockey on perhaps a horse priced at 10/1, and another Jockey on the most fancied of his runners at say 4/1 ?
Now, there could be many reasons for such an event as you would think that NICO would have 1st choice of Henderson’s best horses should he have MORE than one in a race…that is NOT always the case, as sometimes THE OWNERS have their say on who should ride their horses ?
A few short years back around 2012, Henderson had runners in
4 races at one meeting one day.
In 3 of the races he had at LEAST TWO runners, so choosing which ones to bet on became even more difficult
?
I ended up taking one of his horses in each of the 4 races, and each selection had a different Jockey on board.
I was at home all day sober….and I didn’t see a race and I just relied on the TELETEXT for results.
Yes…you’ve guessed it….Henderson not only had 4 winners…but I had somehow managed to select the right ones, ALL on a “lucky 15” bet !
My quid was in…I got nearly £200 back for my £3.00 stake.
I took my then Burd oot that night…without telling her exactly how much I had won that day….sometimes it’s best that way !
LOL.
HH
Anyways, that day

4/1 or more…I need to check later today.

Let’s consider that we live in the real world and not the funny handshakers version.
Now if DK is rewarded with the financial prize of a cold shouldering will the following be able to perform financial transactions with them without the need for a brown paper bag:
Celtic FC PLC
SPFL
SFA
All domestic clubs
UEFA
or
will it be impossible to forward and accept financial payments to and from the Z’s? If not will that mean cup or league tix cannot be sold or putchased by Z’s and competitors fans for all their home and away games and prize (competing monies) cannot be forwarded to them.
Sorry Jimbob.

Cold Shouldering applies only to transactions that are subject to The City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Those transactions mostly concern movement of shares, new share issues etc.
The most crucial impact of King being cold shouldered is that there will be no new share issue and no debt for equity swap. That then means that Sevco will be ineligible for UEFA competition due to being unable to satisfy FFP requirements…in’t that right Mr Regan???

Since the financial meltdown of Rangers, the Supreme Court Verdict and the systematic failure of the game’s administrators in Scotland to prevent cheating and deception.
Could anyone on here tell me what safeguards and checks and balances have been put in place to prevent a repetition of this shameful episode?
As a shareholder can anyone let me know what the Chief Executive of Celtic Plc has done to;
a) Ensure that checks and balances are in place to prevent a these events happening again?
b) What has Mr Lawwell done to ensure that the continuity myth of Rangers is corrected?
c) Ensure that where rules were broken and titles were awarded that the records are amended?
Thanks

I see a few posters feel that Marvin Compper is ready to start games. Looking at his game time so far this season this looks a little optimistic?
Squad: 7, Starting eleven: 1, Substituted in: 1

Anyway all the best to him. He might come in fit and eager to play.

Don’t long for that day. King & Co are the very thing that will forever prevent Sevco from getting their house in order.

So normal banking financial transactions will not be affected i.e. Credit card/debit card transactions, bank transfers?

Good luck getting answers to your questions if you send them to PL, in the past I have had very vague answers to my questions that Celtic plc will always stand up for what is in the interests of Celtic and Scottish Football, don’t know why Celtic should be placing the interests of Scottish Football with their own as they want to move on without any reference to the years of cheating and allow those who did it to continue in the game.
Just look at how long this Compliance Officer investigation is taking, in my opinion it has been kicked into the Amazonian Jungle never to be seen or heard of again, I really hope I am wrong and if this comes to be the case I will say so.
Got to admit I’m no fan of Trump, and while I drink too much,my diet is reasonably healthy. So,yes,I might be up for a bit of slagging POTUS for his MacDiet.
But this article is a classic of its kind and says more about its author than those she attempts to ridicule.

If they are unrelated to buying/selling shares or changes of control of a company then no.
The Takeover Panel don’t have the power to effectively freeze assets.

That’ll be a relief over Ibrox way. The last time their assets were frozen, the pipes burst.

Somewhat but not entirely. There is an argument that the reputational damage associated with cold shouldering will cause financial service providers to naturally shy away from King and Sevco. So not necessarily a direct impact but a very damaging side-effect.

I believe they are fond of the sound made by metal tubes with holes in them…
Hullo again all you young rebels.
Finally getting a chance to make a post after a few days in the
city and lots of child watching etc. really pleased to report no
moth eaten hun tops spotted after the fireworks in the park
just the usual multitude of hoops, made me very happy :-))
Commiserations to all you ghirls and bhoys suffering that
dreadful Aussie flu, i know exactly how you feel as i was laid
low for three weeks and another month before i felt partly
normal, don’t know what it is but hundreds of people young
and old died here and i don,t think we’ve had a proper
explanation from the health authorities regards why it was so
lethal especially since most had had a flu jag.
Now i’ve had the flu many times in my auld lifetime but never
felt anything like that before, i’ve got my own theory how it
got here, so i hope you all recover fully for plenty more years
of pure Celticness.
The Celtic Academy hierarchy are visiting our soccer ground
tomorrow to run their eyes over the facilities and make their
plans for Easter our bhoys are already making arrangements to
be at the park early for a kickabout and maybe catch the eyes of
the coaches, he he you gotta love em.
