CELTIC HAVE THE LAST LAUGH

CELTIC were smiles better at Hampden at the weekend.

And here are the pictures to prove it!

The triumphant Parkhead players hooped it up after the final whistle in the 1-0 Scottish Cup showpiece success over Philippe Clement’s Ibrox outfit who had to settle for the runners’-up spot. Just like they had to do in the race for the Premiership title.

Adam Idah pounced in the last minute to make sure the Celtic players and supporters enjoyed the last laugh as the curtain came down on a double-winning campaign to mark the return of manager Brendan Rodgers.

HAPPY DAZE…Brendan Rodgers celebrates his third Scottish Cup success.

It was a day of celebration as the Hoops claimed their 42nd success in the national competition which celebrated its 150 years with a clash of the Glasgow rivals. Their city neighbours are pegged at 34 wins and are way off the pace.

And Celtic also chalked up their TWELFTH Cup Final triumph this century with six in the last decade.

No wonder the Hoops fans left Hampden with wall-to-wall smiles on Saturday!

Here are some images that highlight the glee factor at the national stadium – and three that illustrate the flip side of joy.
