CELTIC HIGH NOON DERBY SHOWDOWN LIVE

1

CELTIC’S third Premiership encounter with Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox outfit at Parkhead will be shown live by Sky Sports on Sunday, March 21; with a midday kick-off.

The nine-in-a-row champions get the opportunity for revenge after two defeats in the previous derbies, 2-0 in October in one of the team’s worst performances in this fixture in living memory and the luckless 1-0 loss in Govan at the turn of the year when the match turned on the red card for Nir Bitton.

The Hoops’ misfortune that afternoon was compounded by Callum McGregor deflecting in the only goal of the match from a right-wing corner-kick.

Neil Lennon has seen his side drop 23 points behind with only two games in hand and the hopes of the historic tenth successive championship are fading fast.

But they will be fired up for the challenge on this occasion to atone for the tame and toothless showing the last time Gerrard’s side triumphed in the east end of Glasgow.

The Hoops will also face St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Sunday February 14 live on the satellite channel and again on Sunday March 7 against Dundee United at Tannadice. Both games kick off at 12pm.
