CELTIC HOME TO ST MIRREN

ANGE POSTECOGLOU’S Celtic side have been draw at home to St Mirren in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

It will be the third time the clubs have met this season with each team claiming a win.

The Paisley side are still the only Scottish club to beat the champions after their shock 2-0 success in September, but the Hoops got their revenge with a 4-0 triumph at Parkhead last midweek when Kyogo Furuhashi (2), Liel Abada and David Turnbull were on target.

Intriguingly, it is one only two all-Premiership clashes with Dundee United taking on Kilmarnock at Tannadice on the same weekend.

The full draw is:

Ties are due on the weekend of February 11/12.

The Hoops go into the tie without the services of Josip Juranovic with the Croatia World Cup star sealing his switch to Bundesliga club Union Berlin earlier today.

The switch could be as much as £10million to the Hoops for the 27-year-old right-back who cost £2.5million from Legia Warsaw 18 months ago.

The national competition was, of course, the one that got away in Postecoglou’s debut campaign as Parkhead gaffer.

Two goals from Kyogo sealed the Premier Sports League Cup triumph over Hibs at Hampden on December 19 only six months after the Greek-Australian arrived as Neil lennon’s long-term successor.

And the Premiership title was duly delivered on May 11 when the Hoops got the required point in the 1-1 stalemate with Dundee United at Tannadice, the venue of the Hoops’ next game a week today.

The Scottish Cup Final is due on Saturday June 3.
