CELTIC have been linked with £3.5million-rated Tunisian World Cup midfielder Aissa Laidouni.

Ange Postecoglou is continuing to looking at ways to strengthen his title-winning squad and has already brought in defenders Alistair Johnston, from MLS outfit CF Montreal, and Vissel Kobe’s Yuki Kobayashi in five-year deals.

With Yosuke Ideguchi looking to be heading back to Japan, as CQN reported earlier today, and speculation linking James McCarthy with a January move, the Hoops boss is searching for reinforcements in the forthcoming transfer window.

Laidouni, who plays for Hungarian giants Ferencvaros, performed in his nation’s three games against France, Australia and Denmark in the soccer showpiece in Qatar and now appears to be on his way with the champions and Bundesliga club Wolfsburg, according to a report in French sport media outlet Foot Mercato.

The 25-year-old tough-tackling operator has made 28 appearances for his country and Ferencvaros are resigned to losing their star man next month.
