CELTIC have been linked with Girona winger Yaser Asprilla as Martin O’Neill continues to search for reinforcements.
The 22-year-old £10million-rated Columbian international joined the Spanish club from Watford in the summer of 2024 and has scored three goals in 36 appearances.
Asprilla has struggled for game time at the La Liga outfit this season and Spanish media outlet AS have reported an exit is “imminent” for the forward with the Parkhead club mentioned as a possible destination while West Ham, Ajax and Marseille monitor the situation.
O’Neill is looking for a wide right operator, a role that has not been filled since Nicolas Kuhn’s £17.2million switch to Como in the summer.
The Hoops boss is also interested in Lorient frontman Mohamed Bamba, as CQN reported earlier today.
Chelsea striker David Fofana, who cost £10million from Malmo in 2023, is allegedly back on the champions’ wanted list after his loan deal at Turkish Super Lig side Fatih Karagümrük was cut short.
So far, Mexico international right-back Julián Araujo’s loan arrival from Bournemouth is the only deal completed by Celtic in this window.
