CELTIC’S first derby of the new season at Ibrox has been rescheduled for live screenings on TV.
The Premiership encounter between Neil Lennon’s eight-in-a-row champions and Steven Gerrard’s outfit was originally due for Saturday, August 31.
Home advantage proved crucial in the derbies in the last campaign. A goal from Olivier Ntcham gave the title kings a 1-0 win in the east end of Glasgow in September where the home side hit the woodwork four times.
That was reversed, though, in Govan at the end of December when Scott Brown unluckily deflected a shot from Ryan Jack beyond Craig Gordon.
Goals from Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest gave Lennon’s men a 2-1 triumph on March 31, but Celtic, after winning the league the previous week at Pittodrie, were sloppy in a 2-0 defeat in April.
The satellite giants will also be showing the Hoops’ game against Motherwell at Fir Park live on Saturday, August 10.
