CELTIC IN PARIS: REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL

1

CELTIC fans will be allowed in to cheers on the Hoops in their glamour friendly against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parce de Princes on Tuesday.

A limited number of supporters will be permitted inside the ground to view the champions’ third and final game of their pre-season preparation in France with friendlies also due against Nice tomorrow and Lyon on Saturday, both due to take place at the latter’s venue.

Around 5,000 tickets will be sold to supporters who will be required to follow the normal social-distancing guidelines. They will also have to wear face masks within the stadium.

General sale for any Hoops followers will be available until Friday (July 17), but the champions’ fans should note prices start at €60, equating to £54.

A statement on the ticket site said: “The club will deploy sanitary measures to welcome all its fans in the best conditions. Wearing a mask will be mandatory and the social-distancing measures will have to be respected in each stand. Both the security and health of our fans are the club’s absolute priority. Please note that there will be no luggage lockers at the stadium.”

The nine-in-a-row champions kick off their bid for a record-breaking tenth successive title with a Premiership meeting with Hamilton Accies on Sunday, August 2 behind closed doors.

There is the prospect of not being able to play in front of the support until October.
