CELTIC face a DOUBLE Scottish Cup draw this afternoon.

The holders, who beat League One pacesetters Falkirk 3-0 in Glasgow yesterday, will discover their fate for the next TWO rounds in a historic ballot at 2pm today.

The Parkhead side, who are aiming to stretch their record-breaking sequence to five successive triumphs in the national competition, will be involved in the twin draw which has been hastened due to coronavirus restrictions.

With the delayed Euro Championship Finals kicking off on June 11, the Scottish Cup Final is scheduled for May 22 and there is no chance of the competition being allowed to overrun.

QUADRUPLE TREBLE…Scott Brown picks up the Scottish Cup in December last year.

The fourth round and quarter-final round outcomes will be known following back-to-back ballots.

The draw will be broadcast live across the SFA’s Scottish Cup social media channels and on the SFA’s YouTube channel.

Already going into the hat along with Celtic are Aberdeen, Clyde, Dundee United, Forfar, Inverness Caley Thistle, Kilmarnock, Livingston, Montrose, Morton, Motherwell, St Johnstone, St Mirren and Stranraer.

They will be joined by the winners of this evening’s tie between Steven Gerrard’s team and Cove Rangers at Ibrox with a 6.30pm kick-off and tomorrow night’s meeting between Queen of the South and Hibs at Palmerston.

Fourth round ties are due on the weekend of Saturday April 17 with the quarter-final matches scheduled for the following week.

All matches in the 2020/21 competition will be settled on the day, by extra time and penalty-kicks if necessary.
