CELTIC Invincible Gary Mackay-Steven has been axed in a dramatic 15-player clear-out at Kilmarnock.
The 34-year-old former Scotland winger won four honours – including three successive titles – at Parkhead before moving to Aberdeen after Brendan Rodgers’ flawless domestic clean sweep in his debut 2016/17 season.
Mackay-Steven, brought to the Hoops by Ronny Deila in January 2015 in a £2million double deal with Dundee United which included Stuart Armstrong, made 10 appearances during the historic campaign.

The tricky touchline ace is just one of several big-name players who will be leaving Rugby Park with Stuart Kettlewell taking over from Hearts-bound Derek McInnes in the new term, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.
Club captain Kyle Vassell and regular starters Danny Armstrong, Liam Donnelly and Joe Wright will be moving on along with fringe players Kieran O’Hara, Innes Cameron, Kyle Magennis and Fraser Murray.

Youngsters Aaron Brown and Aidan Glavin are also heading for the exit while two loanees – Calvin Ramsay and ex-Hoops prospect Stuart Findlay – are returning to their parent clubs, Liverpool and Oxford United respectively.
