CELTIC are moving closer to a £3million bid for US star Darlington Nagbe.
The 26-year-old Portland Timbers midfielder was given the VIP treatment by the Hoops hierarchy for the Champions League clash with Barcelona last month.
And the powerful playmaker admitted he was blown away by the 60,000 crowd and the remarkable atmosphere.
The champions are now ready to make their move and it is believed they have made real progress in their attempt to land Nagbe in the January transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in one or two players next month to make sure they have settled in ahead of another assault by the Hoops on the Champions League.
Nagbe is one of the priorities. He has won 10 caps for the US and is one of the top players in the MLS.
