CELTIC LINKED WITH AUSSIE WONDERKID

CELTIC have been linked with Australian teenage midfielder Riley McGree, who is currently starring for A-League champions Adelaide United.

The 18-year-old Socceroos ace is on the Hoops’ radar, according to former Dundee star Albert Kidd, who is now technical director at rivals Adelaide Olympic.

Kidd revealed Parkhead scout Tosh McKinlay has been keeping tabs on the youngster, who has been called up for his nation’s World Cup qualifying double-header against Iraq and United Arab Emirates.

He said: “I’m in very close contact with my ex-team-mate Tosh McKinlay and we have talked about Riley McGree.

“They are showing a lot of interest.”

The Hoops, of course, already have an Aussie international in Tom Rogic, who was playing so well this season until injury struck him down.
If McGree has the sort of talent the Wizard of Oz possesses, he will be more than welcome at the home of the champions.
