‘CELTIC PARK DOES NOT WORRY US,’ CAVANI

URUGUAYAN superstar Edinson Cavani insists Celtic Park holds no fears for Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow night.

The world-class striker is aware of the cauldron that awaits him and his team-mates in the east end of Glasgow in what is certain to be a pulsating opener to the Champions League group stages.

Just three sides – Barcelona, AC Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach – managing to win at Parkhead in 17 years of fierce European competition.

But Cavani responded: “Celtic are known for their atmosphere. That is good for them that they have such a famous stadium that makes so much noise in Europe – but it will not worry us.

“We are not going as fans to experience the atmosphere – we are going to win the game.

“Winning the first game is always so important – especially if you have aspirations of winning the group which we have.”

Cavani is likely to team up with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in a three-pronged £414million frontline against the Hoops.

He added: “If the coach chooses to play the three of us, then, of course, that will be very exciting. Neymar has already shown how quickly he has settled and is one of the best in the world and Mbappe has shown that he will be one of the best.

“We can cause any defence at any stadium problems this season, and now we are at the level where winning the Champions League has to be the ambition.”
