When Mika Baur signed last month none of us expected him to be a prime source of goals, but his two goals in the last +6 hours action are the only occasions Celtic have scored in that period. That form has probably only reinforced the impression Germany manager Jurgen Klopp had of the player from his time in Bundesliga 2 last season. Mika is in the squad for the game against Serbia in Munich on Thursday.
Winning his first senior cap would be a huge achievement for a player who only turned 22 over the summer. It would also be a critical endorsement of Celtic. Attracting talented young footballers is a difficult task. We can tempt them with the prospect of Champions League football, but that might not be as convincing an argument as it once was. ‘Celtic players are on the Germany manager’s radar’ is a solid endorsement.
The word ‘pathway’ is used to describe the way a club promotes young players to the first team. The pathway to the national team, be it Germany, or Columbia, for whom Camilo Duran made his first appearance on the bench on Saturday, is just as important to a player in his 20s.

Scotland might get hammered tonight. Down to 10 men and a goal down already.
If what happened to the deid team had happened to them in England, there would have been no hiding place, just like has happened now to Man City. Scotland is another matter altogether. Kid gloves here. Their current incarnation, like those that have gone before, can do what they like.

pileon for man city but ……………
i get the feeling celtic plc will start usin the look at what they did, so we must be even more compliant with fsr.
and have 80 million in the bank?
We were so free and clear of any FSR compliance
I am more worried at the lack of investment from our board,
And banking the money
Last 2 seasons we could have made the champions league, but we chose to bank the cash instead of spending
By not speculating and not getting into the champions league it impacts our budget for future years
And both years were achievable
And allows our board to look like savants
Instead of being short sighted and not spending on players when we had the chance (as well as investing in our, now non existant, recruitment team)
the shite we brought in throughout the January transfer window was a direct result of having no recruitment team (and no forward planning)

Adamu scored for Austria the other night. Didn’t get a chance with us.
The Czech lad played a part.
The right back from Mexico was decent.
Not all bad.

Chaos at the club post the team failing to adapt to Nancy style was partly to blame.
Some saying at least he had a recognised style unlike current situation.
Adamu and the czec lad (was he that good you forgot his name) were keech
Araujo was good
I forgot his name too….
Nancy was a terrible appointment
My point was the terrible recruitment team we had, resulting in
Julian Araujo – Signed from AFC Bournemouth – loan
Tomas Cvancara – Signed from Borussia Mochengladbach – loan [THE CZEC LAD]
Junior Adamu – Signed from Freiburg – loan
Benjamin Arthur – Signed from Brentford – loan
Joel Mvuka – Signed from Lorient – loan
At that point we were hanging out for quality recruits
And we got 1 out of 5 right
And more to the point, all on loans
A terrible window
Down to the lack of recruitment team

And the present squad isn’t good either, was initially impressed by Duran but whatever has happened the team look lost disorganised unfit and unwilling, never mind some got time off when the should have been working on conditioning and fitness. The manager will say but I’ve only had them back 2 days , these next games in the league will be interesting to see if anyone has tried to address problems in the team.

“Serbia remember bravery of 10th Irish division and your help in the ww1. We love you brothers! Long live Ireland!”
Maybe we need to get some Serbian steel through the spine of the Celtic team?
It appears that this new article has mostly seen the chat return to the developing Man City story. No surprise.
I was making a simple observation when trying to figure out how best to compare this with the original Rangers, and while I’ll offer no sympathy to either camp of cheating bassas, I’ll highlight one very big difference.
Again, may all hell rain down on them, but the Man City players and management are probably blameless. Even if they had a sense that the club were up to some shenanigans, they’d have no material evidence themselves of what that might have been going on.
Contrast to original Rangers. The majority of their squad and management were the beneficiaries of EBT or discounted share option schemes that were slid under the table via their agents or through other covert channels. Not one of them could claim to be ignorant to the questionable nature of their compensation agreements. They all knew, and said nothing so that they could swiftly pocket the “tax efficient” funds without fuss.
Man City should be punished severely, and will likely be sued into the bargain. Pep and his troops may never hand back their medals but they will be forever tainted. Not their fault but kinda guilty by association.
Original Rangers, as liquidated, were never truly “punished” for their crimes. Their footballing “honors” in the applicable seasons should be removed as a matter of record, and every player that got a medal should be required to return it for display in the SFA museum’s “cheating bassas” exhibit, or otherwise face legal action.
I realize many legal avenues have been closed, and such, but it pisses me off that Celtic so meekly accepted the 5WA.
All young players in conjunction with their Union PFA, clubs and Educational colleges mandatory attend a course which explains the basics around finance, and in particular Tax Laws, it may not stop the greedy but at least stop the most vulnerable falling victim to unscrupulous charlatans

Football’s Financial Shame: The Story of the V11 review
The Guardian

2 Sept 2025 — This gripping documentary follows early Premier League footballers who lost it all following investment advice that went wrong.
As their legal representative Ben Rees points out, most footballers come from relatively modest backgrounds. Inexperience with money can make them easy prey for unscrupulous or careless advisers. Since the salad days of the V11, footballers’ pay has multiplied exponentially. This film asks what kind of financial advice are today’s megastars receiving, how devastating might any fallout be, and whether Premier League footballers deserve a fragment of our sympathy?
Multi millionaire and still Man City club ambassador Pep Guardiola’s reputation and achievement is completely interwoven with Man City.
Beware!!!! Rutherglen Burnside Cambuslang area
I ordered a Chinese takeaway from a local place last night (I won’t name them)
Just been to pick it up, on way to my house I heard bags rustling and moving!!!
I thought what the hell is that? Has something got in the bag?
I thought I could see a little pair of eyes peering out.
I was in front so I leaned forward, picked up the bag, put it on the passenger seat, and there it was again, more rustling and two little eyes looking out behind the prawn crackers.
I thought its got to be a rat or a mouse or something.
So I carefully pulled the bag down…..
And there it was…..
…..A peeking duck!

If Western Elites values are applied Man City should get awarded more trophies for their commitment to the driver of everything in that sphere; corruption.
It seems to serve the political class & their shills well so why not a fitba club?
Throw in a sex crime against children & they could become POTUS.
Keeps us distracted, I suppose.
