CELTIC PLAN OPEN-TOP BUS PROCESSION

CELTIC have have confirmed they will have an open top bus celebration – IF they defeat Motherwell in Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are on the brink of an unprecedented successive treble and, if they overcome the Fir Park side at Hampden for a second time in this campaign, there will be procession from Dalmarnock to Celtic Park, beginning at 6:15pm, providing the game does not go to extra-time.

The original plan was to hold a parade on Sunday before Scott Brown’s testimonial against the Republic of Ireland, but the club have provided updated information for the event following the Final.

The short route will allow supporters to come out and cheer their heroes if they seal the historic achievement.

A statement on the Celtic website read: “There was an opportunity to stage a similar end of season event on Sunday, connected to the Scott Brown Testimonial match. However, following safety advice, the Saturday evening has been deemed a more appropriate time.

“We hope this advance information assists supporters with regards to any potential event and the planning required.”
