CELTIC are considering a £1.7million bid for frozen-out Gustaf Lagerbielke from SC Braga.
The Portuguese top-flight club have made an official move for the 25-year-old Swedish defender, according to Sky Sports News.
The offer is £1.3million short of the fee the champions paid Elfsborg for the centre-back just two years ago.
It’s clear Lagerbielke doesn’t figure in Brendan Rodgers’ first-team plans and the Hoops may consider taking a massive cash hit to remove the international, who is under contract until 2028, from the payroll.

LOOKING DOWN…Gustaf Lagerbielke can’t hide his disappointment following a debut defeat in the League Cup exit against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in August 2023.
The player spent last season with Twente Enschede, but was returned without any permanent deal being pursued by the Dutch outfit.
Lagerbielke’s time at the Glasgow giants has been less than memorable. An early injury and a dismissal against Feyenoord in the 2-0 opening-day Champions League loss two seasons ago marred his early days at the club.
He made 10 appearances and scored one goal – ironically the winner against the Rotterdam club in the return fixture at Parkhead as he took personal revenge for his earlier red card.
That is likely to remain the highlight of Lagerbielke’s stay at Celtic.
