CELTIC SEAL THE DEAL

CELTIC have completed the £300,000 signing of St Mirren winger Lewis Morgan.

The Scotland Under-21 attacker agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal before returning to the Pailsey side on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Morgan passed a medical in Glasgow yesterday before finalising his move to the champions this afternoon.

He said: “”I’m delighted. With the manager and the players they have, I felt that was the best place for me to develop further and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

“I knew where my future lay and I was at peace with it.

“It probably gives me that peace of mind from others asking me what was happening.”

Morgan has been one of the stand-out performers in the second tier this season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 20 league games.

He is Brendan Rodgers’ second recruit of the January transfer window after German defender Marvin Compper arrived from RB Leipzig.
