This crisis cost many their lives, a number from our own community. It has robbed others of health, livelihoods and companionship. Those of us fortunate enough to attend Celtic Park tonight will mark the memory of those we lost with a minute’s applause. We are not over this yet, please take no chances.
Having scored four goals in the away leg, I’m not going to insult you with a cautionary note. Celtic will qualify comfortably tonight and face AZ Alkmaar next week in the play-off round. AZ have yet to play a competitive match; tonight will be Celtic’s sixth. The objective this evening must be to maximise this advantage and ensure the squad is as fit as possible next midweek.
Give whoever needs match practice a run out and blast the final cobwebs into the night sky. That almost certainly means giving Odsonne Edouard a start.

You are wrong on 2 counts.
1. The entire Front Stand isn’t closed tonight. Only the areas to the left and right of the tunnel are reserved for the red zone.
2. Ibrox had a similar red zone on Tuesday on either side of the tunnel.
Embdy remember Jock Brown and his “we didn’t sell Di Canio, we traded him…” pish?
I see there’s a new euphemism for ‘not selling’ players. Step forward Stevie G in the Daily Record: “…if the right numbers land for our players, we do have to recycle them.”

Who would win in a fight between three flouncey Frenchmen.
My Eddy preferences
He stays for 2 seasons, becomes a legend and leaves for billions
He leaves now for 15 million
He sits in the stand, texting and watching. Leaves in the summer for nothing.
Depends on the Frenchmen 🤔

MadMitch,
I’m in, and it sounds a worthy charity 👍🏼
How do we decide who has had the better season?
I’m assuming fantasy football leagues give yearly scores for performances – though would perhaps be more of a reflection of the team?

I’m sure option 2 will come to pass – only doubt is the fee. Celtic will want to get rid even at the last-minute even with the fee only covering the original £9m. Wonder if PSG’s ‘add on’ refers only to profit over and above.
Option 3 is the nightmare one, in my opinion. If we can’t motivate him when he is available for selection and notionally looking for a big money move in a time-limited window, what chance have we got if he’s just biding his time.
Option 1 is a non-starter – he has said nothing but shown plenty that he doesn’t want to be here and is simply going through the motions.
To lose him for nothing will be a big blow to Celtic. He was always thought to fetch at least £20m – a sum that could represent almost a third of our revenue this season….concerning!
Sorry to hear french eddy may see out his contract and leave for free . Could be a huge loss of finance to the club , money that could have moved us forward . We played fantastic football on Sunday but still a rebuild needs to be done in defence . Reading back over the past few days many of our fans have noted we are still suspect at cross balls ,a fault that cost us many goals the previous playing season against many different clubs , they all seemed to note we were thin on the giant defender side and pinged balls into our box at every turn , it’s a fear for two weeks time when we play them because we will get an Ariel bombardment make no mistake about that . We’re looking good middle to front , but I’m concerned with the defence .
Minimal changes to weekend team and bring Eddy on later after we confirm with a goal or two our progression.

Hi Tom
It must be quite a wide Red Zone. My seat is Front stand 6, near the penalty box and I have been moved tonight to the North Stand
so that will be officialy 53,000+ again, incredible support.

One for the Celtic Granda’s. Great pic of some of Celtic legends starting out circa 1962. The days when Celtic players really did play for the jersey.

I agree. Option 2 is the least worst option for both parties.
Fairly sad for things to end this way, if so.
Dembele is the best player I’ve seen since Larsson. I had hopes for Eddy.

Intriguing words from Stephen G
“I’m well aware how this club works and how it runs”
*this* club suggests this is somehow different from other clubs.

random find for the day, of something I knew before but had long forgotten. One for the movie buffs, and our USA based Celts,

Why not play Edouard AND Kyogo?
help if I posted the right thread.

I have been watching the Undead’s next opponents in a vastly entertaining game from Armenia. It is going into extra time after a 2-2, where one Kairat player was sent off. The Kazakhs had several miraculous escapes in the last 2 minutes. Each team, a polyglot mixture of nationalities, including Brazilians, Russians and Africans, is trying to play football. A portly Wagner Love is still strong, skillful, speedy and with a nose for goal, and is the main threat for the Kazakhs.
Hard to tell, but I think either team will give the Undead trouble, particularly away from home.
