MOUSSA DEMBELE has been nominated for the Best Young French Player of 2017 award.

The 21-year-old Celtic striker enjoyed a superb debut season under Brendan Rodgers, scoring 32 goals following his £500,000 move from Fulham.

A hamstring Injury interrupted his prgress in the run-in to the campaign and the start of the current term, but the marksman has returned in style with seven strikes in 14 games.

Dembele has now been shortlisted for the prestigious prize run by French football programme Telefoot, which is awarded to players aged 21 or under.

The nomination arrived a day after scoring against his boyhood club Paris Saint-Germain in Celtic’s 7-1 Champions League defeat at the Parc des Princes.

The Hoops ace faces stiff competition from some of European football’s most talented youngsters, including Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman, Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, PSG starlet Kylian Mbappe and Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

Moussa started off as the early leader but the Bayern Munich fans have mobilized behind their man so Kingsley Coman is currently winning with Moussa in second place. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO! It takes literally one second to vote HERE or get the link in the official Celtic tweet below.
