CELTIC have been linked with Peterborough left-back Harley Mills as they continue the search to strengthen their left-sided defensive options.
Former fans’ favourite Kieran Tierney will officially rejoin the club on July 1, Greg Taylor’s contract ends at the end of this month and an offer has been made to free agent Jeffrey Schlupp, who spent the second half of the season on loan from Crystal Palace.
Nineteen-year-old Mills came onto the Hoops’ radar when he scored in Posh’s 2-0 win over Birmingham City, bossed by Brendan Rodgers’ one-time Hoops No.2 Chris Davies, in the EFL Trophy Final at Wembley in April.
He also set up the second clinching strike and won the Man of the Match award.
The defender is also wanted by Fulham who were reported to be ready to bid £1million at the turn of the year, according to the Scottish Sun.
Mills had a brief two-month stint on loan at non-League Enfield Town earlier in the season before returning to third-tier Peterborough in November.
He cemented a spot in Darren Ferguson’s team after his return.
Now the teenager, who is coming out of contract, is poised to take the next step up.
