Celtic targeting the young player demographic

219

Notwithstanding the fact that we have only completed two Bosman transfers from Sheffield Wednesday, there is a consistency between them and the plethora of under contract players we have been linked with.  They are in their late teens or early 20s, everyone with growth potential.

Given the season just ended that strategy feels like it would have been a good idea 12 months ago.  Then, we signed David Turnbull from that demographic, although it would be half a season before he was properly introduced in the first team.  Risks about whatever way you spend your money but this strategy should always be high on the agenda.

DD- putting Celtic TV on in commercial premises in the UK and Ireland is illegal……sssssshhhh

  2. I will be massively surprised if we manage to win the league this year and almost nothing we do will change that.

Maybe the board are happy to just write the season off as one for building.

It’s utterly unacceptable that we are in this position. Everyone with power at the club should be reinterviewing for their job.

Hello again all you young rebels.

The Bhoys game on Wednesday is live on CTV in OZ, that’s for all the

Of all the places that somehow transported themselves to new spaces St Kilda does tend to touch the heartstrings, though others in both Scotland and Ireland were left empty and desolate, maybe because despite being lived in and on for millennia the population was finally removed relatively recently, as in the 1930s. Maybe somebody took that memory with them.

  12. My friends in Celtic,

Many of us are now looking forward to the new season. With some trepidation perhaps, but nevertheless it is a return to what we care so much about and normality.

The magnificent ST response emphasises that. We do not forget, but we must move on for our own sanity if nothing else.

    https://twitter.com/ZachLowy/status/1412144416500944904?s=20

Barcelona’s wage bill is 110% of its total income, and in case of exceeding this limit, they can only spend 25% of this income.

These savings would not be enough to register Lionel Messi, who makes the club more money in commercial income than he earns himself.

We’ve heard for years that Barcelona are going to be the ‘next Milan’ when Messi leaves.

Now we’re potentially at that point. Like early 2010s Milan, who brought in Riccardo Montolivo, Kaká, Keisuke Honda on free transfers, Barcelona are mainly focusing on free transfers too.

Yesterday, I had two on bets Ajla Tomljanovic to beat Emma Raducanu . She,Ajla Tomljanovic , won the first set and was 3-0 up in the second when Raducana retired. Did William Hill pay out? Did they hell ! Stake money returned.

I accept that they would have been likely to return the stake money regardless of the score at the time of the retirement but it does seem a bit harsh on the punter.

    Not if you’d backed Raducanu.

Rule 1 of The Bookie Gambling Rulebook says that

    Move on :-

Move on from the endless negativity.

Recognise and address our failings, but get right behind the team, Dom Mckay and manager.

From non triers in our team.

Back to full houses and normality. To an enhanced match day experience.

From defeatist and damaging boycotts and indulgent bans.

From a season we need to forget.

From a sense of entitlement from some of us who have only known success.

From using Celtic as a political vehicle. Eg Scott Brown’s last game.

From the controlling restrictions in place.

From subservient and incompetent communication and media.

    To a more hopeful future.

The ST update confounded our critics and demonstrated supporter commitment. It is a remarkable show of faith and support. There was a choice and the choice was made.

Let’s be honest, we need some enjoyment in our lives and Celtic can give is that.

Subsequently we need to move on and face the many challenges we face, as a united support with one goal.

    …………..

Sorry to read that typical Bookies I suppose.

My Bookie ” BET365″ have CONTINUALLY taken away the ” My Bets Icon” from their Site during the EUROS.s, which means that you can NOT “CASH OUT” on ANY of your Bets no matter if its fitba, Racing etc.

Before these EURO’s started, I have NEVER known Bet365 to do that, and Ive been a customer since 2016. When it first happened to me at the start of the Tournament and I tried to ” CASH OUT” after having two correct EURO Scores up….I thought it was just a ” Fault”…and they Emailed me a few days later to advise me of the same, with an apology at that time.

However, I have logged On with NO Intention of ” Cashing Out” numerous times since then just to see IF this so called ” Fault/Gilch” was/is still happening…it is STILL happening so its NOT a coincidence…its a DELIBERATE PLOY to prevent Punters winning money…Simples !

I have Two Singles and a DOUBLE running.

The second game of my Bet is Tonight….Italy to beat Spain 2-1 @ 10/1.

So IF I wished to ” Cash Out” right now BEFORE Tonights game…I cant because Bet365 have taken away the ” Cash Out” option.

The only thing I take issue with from this kind of argument is the idea that people who haven’t renewed are somehow “entitled”, or reacting to the loss of the 10. That they’re bad losers and that the club are better off without such “glory hunters”.

To be serious for a moment Davie Bhoy…I see ITALY as being the team with the BEST chance of Gubbing Engerlund….IF the English beat the Danes ?

So I am hoping for Italy to win tonight…and even better IF they win by the 2-1 scoreline for my Bets, as Ive also got a £10 Bet for Italy to win 2-1 tonight…and the other bet that I mentioned above with the Danes beating the Czechs 2-1 already ” UP” from a few days ago ?

I also have Italy to Win the Tournament at Odds of 8/1.

    Just a thought

For the first time in a long time I think we are in for a complex league title race

I think Aberdeen possibly Dundee United and Hibs if they can keep their best, will all have an influence on how we and the Huns do

I hate my thought process but the Huns are favourites – they give very little away in defence and are very well drilled

Aberdeen will dominate everyone but us and the Huns

As for us – I am struggling to get wrapped up in the hype

Celtic TV and our PR machine are trying hard to get us up for it – but I have my doubts

Also i think it was “The Battered Bunnet” that asked the question – who is in charge of Celtics recruitment ??

The biggest objective the club has today is to rebuild the playing staff

I could not tell you who has that responsibility !!!

It’s not impossible for us to win the league this year – but player recruitment is essential

Our dominance has diluted – no disappeared – getting it back is a big job

    Fingers crossed !!
