CELTIC THANK ‘WONDERFUL SUPPORT’

CELTIC have saluted their “wonderful support” for rallying round as they prepare for a tilt at the record-breaking TENTH successive title.

The Premiership is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, August 1 and the Hoops hierarchy have thanked the fans for getting solidly behind the cause.

The campaign will, of course, commence behind locked doors due to the Scottish Government’s social-distancing guidelines in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the nine-in-a-row champions issued a statement to applaud the club’s followers. It said: “We have received a phenomenal response from fans desperate to secure a season ticket for the campaign ahead. We are truly grateful for your wonderful support.

“Thank you to the 17,000 of you that have also signed up to the Waiting List so far!

“Once again the support you have shown to the team, and the club has been staggering, and is vital to our success as we prepare for this hugely important season ahead.

“The deadline for existing Season Ticket holders to renew is 5pm on Tuesday, July 7.

“Once the renewal period has passed for existing Season Tickets holders, any remaining Season Tickets will be offered to those on the waiting list† in order of when you joined.

“Should a Season Ticket become available, we will contact you directly.

“The best way to be in with a chance of securing a seat in Paradise next season is to join the 2020/21 Waiting List today.

“You can see the full Waiting List terms and conditions, and FAQs here.”

The Hoops started last season on August 3 when a capacity crowd in the east end of Glasgow witnessed Neil Lennon’s side thrash St Johnstone 7-0 with a hat-trick from Ryan Christie and Mikey Johnston, Odsonne Edouard, Olivier Ntcham and Leigh Griffiths joining in.
